Wallace Lam

HSBC

Wallace Lam is managing director and head of high yield capital markets and commercial banking debt origination, Asia, sitting within the bank’s capital financing group.

Outside of his professional career, he is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Hong Kong Housing Society. He also served as an external mentor for the Central University of Finance and Economics between 2009 and 2012, and is a permanent member of the Hong Kong United Youth Association.

Michael Lee

Guangzhou R&F Properties

Michael Lee is corporate finance director, primarily responsible for general offshore financing activities, as well as investor communications. Over the past few years, his focus has been on broadening R&F’s access to various forms of financial products, as well as maintaining open dialogue with investors. He joined R&F in 2012, and was previously a director for 13-years in investment banking focused on IPOs, private placements, high yield debt and structured financing.

Patrick Liu

UBS

Patrick Liu is managing director and co-head of debt capital markets for Asia. He joined UBS Investment Bank in 2009, and has originated and executed numerous investment-grade and high-yield bond offerings, private placement, structured credit and liability management transactions.

Before joining UBS, he worked in DCM teams at Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse, and spent the earlier part of his career in corporate finance in Singapore and credit lending in Beijing.

Kalai Pillay

Fitch Ratings

Kalai Pillay is regional head of industrials, consumer products, property, and transportation ratings. He joined Fitch Ratings in Singapore in 2005 and was previously vice president in the credit portfolio management unit of ABN AMRO Bank in Singapore.

Pillay earlier worked for management consultants McKinsey & Co, based in Hong Kong and Singapore, and began his career in financial services in Rating Agency Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur.

Albert Yau

CIFI Holdings (Group)

Albert Yau is the chief financial officer of CIFI Holdings (Group) Co Limited. He joined CIFI in 2011 and has over 20 years of professional experience in capital markets and corporate management.

He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree, and is a holder of Chartered Financial Analyst.

Ben Yuen

BOCHK Asset Management

Ben Yuen is managing director and head of fixed income, responsible for fixed-income investment capabilities and business development. He joined BOCHK earlier this year after seven years at UBS Global Asset Management, where he was in charge of portfolio management and business development for Asian fixed-income products. Yuen was earlier head of Asian fixed income at First State Investments, and served as a senior investment manager at HSBC Global Asset Management.
