Paula Chan is a senior portfolio manager at Manulife Asset Management, responsible for onshore and offshore China investments. She manages a number of funds in renminbi and Hong Kong dollars, and has played a key role in establishing onshore bond investments through the firm’s QFII bond fund and onshore joint ventures. She joined Manulife in 2008 after 10 years trading rates and currencies at Barclays and Standard Chartered.

Ko-Wei Hsiung is an associate director in the Debt Capital Markets team based in Hong Kong. His role focuses on DCM origination for issuers across Asia, as well as Asian currency issuance for global borrowers. Hsiung first joined HSBC in 2007 and has an MA in international economics and finance from Brandeis International Business School.

Tony Tang is chief analytics officer at Pengyuan Credit Rating in Hong Kong, where he is responsible for international credit assessments on the Chinese agency’s global scale. He previously worked at rival Dagong Global Credit Ratings in Hong Kong, and earlier was at S&P.

Steve Wang is a senior credit analyst at Citic CLSA, the offshore unit of China’s Citic Securities. Before joining Citic CLSA in 2017, he was business and finance Editor of Asia Times, and has previously covered multiple asset classes including foreign exchange, fixed income and equities. In 2012, he was appointed chief China economist at Reorient Group, a Hong-Kong based brokerage, after four years at Tribridge Investment Partners, an Asian credit hedge fund.

Ricco Zhang is director, Asia Pacific, at the International Capital Market Association, based in Hong Kong. He is responsible for ICMA’s development in Greater China and works very closely with regulators, financial institutions and other market participants to promote and maintain the best market practice. He has previously worked for international law firms, investment banks and other financial institutions.
