Jonathan Drew

HSBC

Jonathan Drew is a managing director in the Infrastructure, Real Estate Group at HSBC. Jonathan graduated with an MA in Economics from Cambridge University and is also qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Jonathan started his banking career more than 20 years ago in London and after working in rapidly emerging Latin America and raising capital for large scale projects in the Middle East has been based in Hong Kong since 1997.

Jonathan is responsible for driving HSBC’s Sustainable Finance initiative across the Asia region for the banking business and also chairs the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association Green Loan Committee.

Lim Whee Kong

City Developments

Lim Whee Kong is the Head of Treasury at City Developments Limited and has held this role for the past 10 years. Prior to joining City Developments Limited, he had a varied banking career principally with OCBC Bank and BNP Paribas.

CDL was the first corporate issuer of Green bonds in Singapore, printing a S$100m two-year senior unsecured bond in April 2017. The unrated bond is secured against Republic Plaza, which has scored a Green mark platinum from Singapore’s state agency Building and Construction Authority.

Proceeds are for the repayment of a loan used to retrofit and upgrade the office building to maintain the Green mark platinum level.

Sanaa Mehra

Citigroup

Sanaa Mehra is a Senior Associate in Citi’s Debt Capital Markets team, exclusively dedicated to working on Green, Social and Sustainability Bonds structuring and origination at Citi, globally. She works alongside DCM teams across all sectors; (SSAs, Corporates, FIG, EM, Municipals) on market developments, product education and structuring guidance. Sanaa has four years of experience in this market having been involved in all Citi-led Green and Social bond issuance since the inception of the Green Bond Principles in 2014.

Sanaa joined Citi in 2013 and holds a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from the London School of Economics.

Anna-Marie Slot

Ashurst

Anna-Marie has extensive experience acting for banks and other companies in a wide range of corporate finance and securities transactions, including high-yield debt offerings, green bonds, tender offers, debt buybacks, refinancings and securities transactions, such as Rule 144A and Regulation S debt and equity offerings, as well as mezzanine debt investments and senior credit facilities. Her practice also includes advising companies on US securities law matters.

Prior to joining Ashurst, Anna-Marie worked in London and Hong Kong at a leading international law firm headquartered in the US. She has also worked in both New York and London for a major New York law firm.

Katharine Tapley

ANZ

Katharine Tapley is head of Sustainable Finance at ANZ. Katharine joined ANZ in 2001 and has undertaken various roles in markets, transaction banking and specialised lending across commodities, structured trade, project and export finance, and Green financing. She has been a member of ANZ’s sustainable finance solutions team since its formation in 2014, and has headed the unit since 2016.

She played a key role alongside ANZ’s group treasury and debt syndicate teams in the issuance of the bank’s A$600m inaugural Green bond in mid-2015.

Daniel Stanton

Head of Asian Credit, IFR (Moderator)

Daniel Stanton is head of Asian credit at IFR and is based in Singapore, where he has been reporting on capital markets for IFR since 2009. He has previously written on banking and finance in Dubai, London and Singapore.
